Fresh (re)Start

And I am back again! It’s a pity that I am as reliable as an Italian government to keep up the blog, but I do enjoy writing so I will try and keep on going for once πŸ™‚

So, what happened since January? Life! A lot of things going on at the same time, and that is why I left the poor blogie behind. I got married and now me and Sergeant Lunch are expecting our first baby! She is due soon enough so I hope my motherly duties won’t keep me too much from my newfound (again) love for writing (she says, while laughing with optimism she does not really feel πŸ˜€ )

For the wedding, I made some cupcakes, which were ideal for the pub, where we were going to have our few celebratory pints. I even had my half, HA!

They were definitely not pretty (I thought I was on time in the morning, but I really wasn’t, so the icing moment turned into a speed race and the fact that it was too cold did not help, thank you Sergeant Lunch for being so patient! ❀ ), but they were delicious: lime and coconut, Guinness and salted caramel, and coffee.

On the travel side of things, we were not able to do much, for all the above-mentioned reasons. We went to Italy for a couple of weeks, enjoyed some roasted pig, got through a heat wave, got married in a lovely small ceremony, and now we are getting ready for the mayhem expecting us a couple of months away, and I am not talking about Christmas! πŸ™‚

I hope you all three readers enjoy me being back as much as I do, next up probably a recipe in Italian for some autumny overnight oats (because I have stopped blogging but I have nay stopped baking!)
